Nnamdi Okonkwo was born on August 16, 1965 in Nigeria. Nnamdi left Nigeria in 1989 for Brigham Young University- Hawaii, primarily to play college basketball, but also to further his education. In 1993 Nnamdi graduated with a BFA in sculpture, and a few years latter an MFA in sculpture from BYU-Provo.
Artist Statement:
"I started drawing early in life, but did not take it seriously until I was about 17 years old. Before I left Nigeria I graduated with a Higher National Diploma in (showing 500 of 1577 characters). |
