Born in Oakland, CA on Sept. 27, 1908. Oakeshott studied at the CCAC and the CSFA. A lifelong resident of Oakland, he died there on June 29, 2002. His modernist watercolors and oils include non-representational landscapes and abstracts.

Exh: Santa Cruz Art League, 1934; Oakland Art Gallery, 1930s, 1950s.
