Ragnar Olson (1884-1949).
Mr Olson was a well known, early 20th century artist working primarily in New York City. He painted in the style of American Impressionism and was a member of the Society of Independent Artists, started by Glackens and Sloan. He is best known for his Ashcan School, figural cityscapes in New York especially Greenwich Village, the Fulton Fish Market, Washington Square etc. He also was recognized for his seascapes. Active with other Scandinav (showing 500 of 1105 characters). |
