Ralph Chesley Ott was born in Springfield, Missouri on June 24, 1870. His father was Eli D. Ott, attorney, Greene County probate judge, and county clerk. His mother was Mary Cannefax, daughter of Chesley Cannefax, the county's first sheriff.
He received his early education in Springfield and then went to St. Louis where he attended Washington University School of Fine Arts. He studied for four years (showing 500 of 2416 characters). |
