| Born in Newport, KY in 1867. O'Kane studied at the ASL in NYC and in London with Frank Brangwyn. She settled in Los Angeles in the late 1880s, and by 1911 was an art teacher at the State Normal School there. She was active in Los Angeles through the mid-1920s.
