| Vera Eugenia Andrus was born in Wisconsin, she was educated at the University of Minnesota, and the art schools of St. Paul and Minneapolis and the Art Students League, New York, where she became interested in lithography. Since then her lithographs have been shown in most national and many international exhibitions, winning numerous awards.
One-man shows include exhibitions at the American Museum of Natural History, New York, and the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C. She has also written and illustrated two published books. After several years on the staff of the Metropolitan Museum of Art she moved to East Gloucester, where she divides her time between drawing, lithography and painting, lecturing on art and writing.
