Walter S. Oschman
(American, dates unknown)
Painted 36 Mountie subjects between 1943-1960)
In contrast with the dramatic scenes of Arnold Friberg and many of the
other Mountie artists, Walter Oschman's illustrations are marked by
their lightness, lack of detail, and pastel hues. This is very likely
due to the fact that his mainstay was illustrating children's picture
books and school textbooks.
Two known books illustrated by Oschman include &q (showing 500 of 869 characters). |
