Yoko Ono is sometimes accused of being the person who broke up the Beatles, but she is remembered for much more as she has become an accomplished artist and musician and has been a pioneer in performance art.
She earned a degree in philosophy from Tokyo's Gakushuin University, and went on to study philosophy and music at Sarah Lawrence College in New York. In 1956, she married Japanese composer ToshiIchiyanagi, and in 1963, married art promoter Tony Cox. In 1966, she met her third husband (showing 500 of 24138 characters). |
