The following is from Brian H. Pearson, son of the artist, Albert R. Pearson.
Dad was born in 1911, grew up in Indianapolis, IN, and Chicago, IL, and displayed significant artistic talent while still in grade school. He often spoke of the teachers, including a Mrs. Singenberger, who encouraged him to pursue and develop his skills.
After high school, he studied pre-law (at the request of his father, a lawyer) for a year, before transferring to the Art Institute of Chicago. He (showing 500 of 2415 characters). |
