In 2003 Andrew Paquette left California and the feature-animation industry to pursue a career painting southwest landscapes. Paquette has found inspiration in the landscape near Phoenix; most of his scenes are within 100 miles of his home. He paints his large scale landscapes on-site and he typically finishes two to four 36X48 acrylic paintings a week.
