| Ann Pember grew up in Massachusetts and began her fine art career there after graduating from the Massachusetts College of Art and working in commercial art for a number of years. She now lives on the shores of Lake Champlain in upstate New York where she and her husband built their home and her studio.
Her watercolors include florals, landscapes, still lifes and portraits, mostly inspired by nature. Often working in a series, she paints in an impressionistic style and sometimes uses a close-up point of view, which gives her work a slightly abstract quality.
