| | Born in San Diego, CA on Oct. 28, 1877. Annie Pierce was one of San Diego's first native painters. She studied art from childhood and was a protégée of Cora Timken Burnett. Her work includes portraits, landscapes, and floral still lifes in watercolor, oil, pastel, and block printing. She died in San Diego on Aug. 31, 1951.
