Barbara Penn uses literary and poetic themes, integral to her paintings, combined media constructions, and installations that incite issues of domesticity, gender, and the progression of womens roles over time. Exhibitions include solo showings at the University of Texas, El Paso; the Scottsdale Center for the Arts, and the Tucson Museum of Art.
