The following, submitted June 2004, is from the artist
I was born in Orlando, Florida into a military family. My father was in the U.S. Air Force, and we lived in Arizona, Texas, Idaho, and Alaska. I took art classes from the eighth grade through high school, but upon graduation I was torn between my art and the vocational call to Nursing. I went on to become a Registered Nurse and worked many years in the operating room in intensive care and orthopedics. In 1989, I joined the U.S. Navy N (showing 500 of 2316 characters). |
