This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Camille Przewodek is a plein-air landscape and marine painter as well as art teacher. Przewodek says of her work, "I paint light, that's what I do. When people say they like a painting that has bright colors in it, they obviously like sunny days. For others the appeal is found in the cooler colors of gray days."

She is a co-founder of the Pacific Academy of Fine Arts, and a signature member of the Laguna Plein-Air Painters Association. She has exhibited widely in one-person and group exhibits, continues to teach painting workshops, and has received numerous awards including First Place Painting in the 2000 Sausalito Art Festival. Memberships include the Laguna Plein Air Painters' Association, Signature Member En Couleur, and Signature Member American Impressionist Society.

Przewodek earned a BA degree in Fine Art and illustration from Wayne State University in Detroit. She worked in that city as a legal secretary and later in California while painting on the side.

In 1983 in San Francisco, she earned a degree in illustration from the Academy of Art and worked in illustration for ten years. Clients included Alfa Romeo, Chevron and the "Los Angeles Times Magazine". Then she decided to devote her self to fine-art painting, and a major inspiration for this career change was attending a workshop by impressionist painter Henry Hensche in Provincetown, Massachusetts at the Cape Cod School of Art.

Przewodek lives Petaluma, California as of 2004.
