This biography from the Archives of AskART:

The following information was submitted in April of 2006 by Jonathan Small:

Charles S. Parker was really Charles Schoff Parker, as recorded by Wilfred Schoff in The Descendants of Jacob Schoff, revised edition, published and updated by Alvin Schoff Witmore in 1987.  Here his birth date of 1860 in Boston is also verified, as well as in The Boston Art Club Exhibition Record 1873-1909.

He studied at the Art Students League in New York, and the Academie Julian in Paris with Chapu and Puech from 1879 to 1885; also with Gerome, Delance and Callot in Paris.

He was a member of the National Sculpture Society; Architectural League; the National Art Club; and the Boston Art Club.

He exhibited at the Boston Art Club from 1883 to 1900.
