A newspaper artist, painter, art teacher and writer, Clair Packer lived
in San Antonio, Texas, and Tulsa, Oklahoma. In San Antonio, he
worked for the San Antonio Express newspaper from 1946-48 and was Instructor of Art at Littlehouse Gallery from 1947-48. In Tulsa, he was artist for the Tulsa World newspaper, 1948-65; and cartoonist for the The Valley Morning Star.
Many of his illustrations and painting subjects were action sketches of
rodeo (showing 500 of 2056 characters). |
