| | Born in New York on March 23, 1895. Parsons grew up in Greenich Village and began his art career there as a pupil of Will Foster. He settled in Los Angeles in 1949 and continued with Sam Hyde Harris. He illustrated many of Walter T. Foster’s How-to-Paint books before his death in Los Angeles on Oct. 3, 1972. Member: Laguna Beach AA; Desert Art Center; Artists of the SW (pres. 1959).
