This biography from the Archives of AskART:
The following was submitted by the artist's daughter, Catherine Pond, October 2004

My father was born on June 11, 1941. He grew up in Port Washington, New York. He has been interested in art his whole life. In high school, he took an art aptitude test consisting of two pictures. One was symmetrical, the other was not and the directions were to circle one. My father circled the symmetrical one and was told he should never pursue an art career!! He never let it stop him, and to this day, most of his paintings have symmetry.

He attended and graduated from Carnegie Mellon and Pratt Institute as an art student. He spent most of his adulthood making art while living in SoHo, NYC. He now lives near Atlanta with his wife and two children. He currently works on three-dimensional pieces and his work is still carried in many galleries around America.
