Delilah Pierce (1904-1992) was born in Washington D.C. She
studied at Howard University and Columbia University and taught art in
Washington secondary schools. Active as both an artist and art
educator, she was a member of several art societies including the
Society of Washington Artists, the Artists Equity Association, and the
National Conference of Artists.
Pierce worked primarily in oils and acrylics. She exhibited in
shows at Atlanta University, Howard Universit (showing 500 of 969 characters). |
