Painter. Born in Brooklyn, NY on Oct. 27, 1874.
Edda Heath studied at the New York School of Art, Pratt Institute,
Adelphi College, and privately with William M. Chase, Arthur Dove,
Robert Henri, and Frank DuMond. While in New York she painted political
portraits of Woodrow Wilson, William H. Taft, and Theodore Roosevelt.
In 1928 she moved to Carmel, California where she became active in the
local art scene. Her married name was Pappel at the time of her
death in (showing 500 of 1029 characters). |
