| Born in New York City, she studied at the New York School of Art and
with Robert Henri and John Sloan. She and her artist sister, Josephine,
frequently painted at the art colony in Gloucester, Massachusetts and
often exhibited together. She was a member of the National Association
of Women Artists and several other New York art associations. She was
also a member of the Salons of America, an organization that organized
no-jury art exhibitions.
