| | Born in a small village inn in the Bavarian Alps on Sept. 10, 1877, the daughter of artist Thad Welch. In 1920 Mrs. Pilsworth settled in San Francisco and became a freelance artist. During the Depression she painted watercolors of birds for the WPA. She died in San Francisco on Dec. 6, 1950.
