| Painter, art historian. Born in Ilizach, France on Nov. 1, 1888. Perret studied with Jules Perret at Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, with Rohlfs and Weiss in Germany, C. P. Townsley in London, Wm M. Chase in Carmel, with Jean Mannheim and Guy Rose at the Stickney School of Art in Pasadena. Active in Los Angeles from 1906, he was the founder and donor of the Ferret Art Reference Library now held at the NatI Museum in Washington, DC. He died in Los Angeles on Aug. 4, 1960. Member: Calif.
