This biography is drawn from the 'Who Was Who in American Art' by Peter Hastings Falk, the reference book on the cultural life in the United States.

Palmer, Frederikke Schoth. Portrait, landscape, and figure painter, born in Norway, May 26, 1860, and active in Cleveland (Cuyahoga) during the late 1880's. The wife of an Adelbert College professor, she was a member of the Society of Cleveland Artists and exhibited,from Cleveland, at the Boston Art Club in 1887.  She later worked in New Haven, Connecticut, and was living in Honolulu in the late 1920's.  From Cleveland Plain Dealer, Dec. 8, 1886; Cleveland Town Topics, Mar. 24, 1888; Petteys, 1985; Falk 1985; Chadbourne 1991.
