Born in Halberstadt, Germany on Feb. 20, 1877. "Fritz" Poock studied with Francisco del Marmol in Granada, Spain and in Germany before moving to Los Angeles in 1905. A technical illustrator, he was active in the art world there until his demise on Jan. 2, 1945. Member: Calif. Art Club. Exh: Stendahl Gallery (LA), 1933; Pig n' Whistle (LA), 1935; Schwabacher-Fry (LA), 1935; Friday Morning Club (LA), 1935; Vista del Arroyo (Pasadena), 1936; City Hall (LA), 1936; Chamber of Commerce (Santa Paula), 1938. In: Santa Monica High School (mural).

Born in Halberstadt, Germany, he studied with Francisco del Marmol in Granada, Spain, and in Germany. After his European studies, he moved to Los Angeles in the 1930s. During the Depression, he worked on WPA projects including a mural at Santa Monica High School. He became a technical illustrator and died in Los Angeles.
