| | Born in Arquata Scrivia, Italy on June 9, 1898. Patri arrived in San Francisco in 1916. From 1925-29 he studied at the CSFA. As well as an artist, he was also a champion fencer and won third place in 1923 in the Pacific Coast Division of Amateur Fencing of America. Beginning in 1925 he was an illustrator for local newspapers while teaching at the Presidio Hill School and California Labor School. From 1948 until retiring in 1966, he headed his own art school in San Francisco. Patri died there on May 5, 1978.
