Hedley Vicars Patterson, Jr. (1890-1972)
He was born in Dorchester (Boston), Massachusetts, on 28 September 1890, the son of Hedley Vicars Patterson, Sr., a piano tuner (and later a letter carrier for the U.S. Post Office) and his wife Jane Elizabeth Leach.
Patterson grew up in the Ashmont section of Dorchester and was educated in Boston public grammar schools. He apprenticed at and then worked for the American Bank Note Company in Boston as a bank note engraver. In 191 (showing 500 of 3315 characters). |
