The source of the following information is Prof. Emeritus Stuart Palmer (Univ. of New Hampshire), who was the son and only child of Herman Palmer.
Herman Palmer was born in Utah in 1894, and died in New York City in 1946. He was originally George Herman Palmer, but dropped the George in adult life. According to his son he never signed his paintings using "George".
He came to New York as a young man, and studied art among other places at the Art Student's Le (showing 500 of 1235 characters). |
