Horatio Peasley was a very talented, yet unknown Artist of the turn of the 19th - 20th centuries. He was a student of the SMFA, Boston and studied directly under John Joseph Enneking. There were many women who studied with Enneking to learn the finer points of still-lives. In the late 19th century, landscape painting was left to men, and Peasley was one of the very few who were accepted to study at the k (showing 500 of 870 characters). |
