Hulda Ernestine (Parton) Walton  (1879-1962)
Parton, Hulda Studio in New York City.  Portrait painter.  Born Hudson, New York.  Pupil of Art Students League under Kenyon Cox, 1907-1910;  Blanche in Paris;  Sorolla in Madrid.  Married 1912. Member of Art Students League, New York.

Hulda Parton Walton, died October 4, 1962, widow of Daniel Day Walton, former Attorney General of Puerto Rico.  She was a graduate of Vassar College, Class of 1902.  A former member of the Art Students League, she was a noted portrait painter.  Exhibits of her paintings were displayed in the Salon, Paris. She was a student of the noted artist Sydney Dickenson.

The following note is from Anna (Walton) Ernst Saxton, daughter of Hulda Parton:

Hulda Ernestine Parton was born in Yonkers NY on July 1, 1879 to Arthur and Anna (Taylor) Parton. Her father, and uncles Henry and Ernest, were well known artists. She married Daniel Day Walton, a Harvard trained lawyer. They lived in New York City and in Pleasantville, NY. She died on October 4, 1963.
