| Born in Brescia, Italy on March 8, 1879. At 15 Pedretti ran away from home and studied art in Milan for four years. He later worked for many years in Zürich, Munich, and Mexico City before settling in Los Angeles about 1922. He was active in the local art scene and taught at the Art Center School until his death in Hollywood on Oct. 14, 1937.
