Irving Penn is known for highly realistic photography, with many of his works being celebrity photographs. Subjects included Georgia O'Keeffe, Igor Stravinsky and Marlene Dietrich. He studied with Alexey Brodovitch at the Philadelphia Museum School and graduated in 1938.
