| Born in Creston, CA on Oct. 27, 1890, a descendant of José Francisco de Ortega. Ivy married Lee Roy Parsons in 1917. During the 1930s she studied locally with Phil Paradise and Harold Fogelstein. A lifelong resident of San Luis Obispo, CA, she died there on Nov. 12, 1978.
