| Born in New York City, Jack Perlmutter was a Washington DC painter and printmaker. He was Professor Of Art and Chairman of the Printmaking Department at the Corcoran Gallery of Art from 1960-1982, and was Curator of the Washington DC Cosmos Club. He was also an authority on Japanese prints, and was a Fulbright Research Professor at Tokyo University Of The Arts.
