| | Painter, lithographer, teacher. Born in Chicago, IL on Oct. 17, 1907. Prendergast studied at AIC, UCLA, and with Boris Anisfeld. He taught at USC (1937-40), New Orleans Arts & Crafts (194042), University of Arizona (1942-44), and University of Michigan from 1944. After retiring in 1974, he lived in Ann Arbor, Ml until his demise on Feb. 8, 2000. Member: Laguna Beach AA; Calif. WC Society; SFAA; College AA of America.
