Biography from AskART:
| Known as a bird and small mammal artist, John Pitcher prefers using ink "so he can't erase" and can capture his subjects as they are at the moment he first sees them. For over 25 years, he has been a field sketch artist and has an intricate logging system of using three sketchbooks and also writing about what he sees in paint.
