| The following information is from the daughter of an art collector, who knew the artist and collected some of his illustrations:
Joseph Parrish (1905-1989) was a political cartoonist especially noted as the chief editorial cartoonist for seven years until his retirement at the Chicago Tribune where he worked as an illustrator from 1936 until his retirement in 1970.
He used crisp lines and crosshatching and the likenesses that he illustrated were almost photographic. His illustration depict the political national and international issues of the day.
