An illustrator, set designer, painter and art educator, Joseph Paget-Fredericks was born in San Francisco and spent most of his career in Berkeley where he studied at the University of California. By age sixteen, he was designing theatre sets and theatrical pageants, and during the 1950s, he taught color and design at the California College of Arts and Crafts.
He spent ten years traveling and studying in Europe including at Oxford and Cambridge Universities and with Leon Bakst and John S (showing 500 of 1062 characters). |
