This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| The following was submitted by Andrew Meyer:
My mother Nancy Pearman Meyer is the daughter of Katharine Keeler Pearman. She grew up at 1404 National Ave. My mother's grandparents lived across the street. My grandmother KK Pearman was an accomplished regional painter working in both watercolors and oils. Her subject matter ranged from still life to rural landscapes and small town scapes. She attended the Stone City art colonies of the early 1930's along with Grant Wood.
Towards the end of her life her paintins took on a Picasso/Abstract look. KKP also lived on King Street in Rockford, Illinois in a Frank Lloyd Wright home. She had a "winter" studio there but preferred to work outside weather permitting. |
