| Artist Kathy Paivinen's childhood home in Adrian, Michigan, was filled with all sorts of animals. "We always had lots of pets," Paivinen says, "Dogs, birds, lizards...a real menagerie. I was interested in science too, so when I went to the University of Michigan I studied zoology with an emphasis on animal behavior. I started taking some art courses, and after graduating I decided to go into scientific illustration." However, capturing on canvas the lively nature of horses, cats and dogs proved (showing 500 of 1030 characters). |
