| | Born in Greeley, IA on Jan. 29, 1895. By the early 1930s Penny had moved to southern California. She lived in San Luis Obispo and later Glendora where she taught at Citrus Union High School until 1956. About that time she married a man named Swope. She died in Lawrence, KS in May 1982.
