| Born in Jamaica, West Indies on Oct. 20, 1883. Lillian Baker studied in France, Germany and in London with Sir Arthur Cope. During WWI she did intelligence work, married American doughboy, Tilgham Paca, and then moved to a farm in Colorado. In 1947 she visited the Monterey Peninsula and opted to remain. For several years she wrote a nature column for the Monterey Herald. She also wrote and illustrated six nature books on birds and whales as well as a book of poetry which earned her the titl (showing 500 of 705 characters). |
