| | Born in Rock Island, IL on Oct. 31, 1859. While visiting in Watsonville, CA in 1888, "Minnie" Magill wed George Thayer Pardee, a prosperous dealer in farm imports. After her marriage she studied art in San Francisco with Wm Keith and others. The Pardee home in Watsonville was a large farm house at 22 Fourth Street on the corner of Main. There she gave art lessons to aspiring young artists, among them Lillie May Nicholson. Primarily a watercolorist, she also worked in oil and painted china. Mrs. Pardee died in Oakland, CA on Nov. 21, 1936. Exh: Calif.
