| Born in La Seyne, France on June 16, 1906. Perona immigrated to California with his family in 1910. Upon graduation from Los Gatos High School in 1921, he entered the CSFA where he was a pupil of the Mackys, Ray Boynton, Ralph Stackpole, and Gertrude Albright. Following one year at the ASL in NYC, he worked for the Disney Studios in Hollywood in 1930-31 and then for the San Francisco Call Bulletin while living across the bay in Sausalito. At the end of prohibition, he became advertising dire (showing 500 of 817 characters). |
