| Born at Niagra Falls, NY on Dec. 16, 1872. Patterson was educated at the Rhode Island School of Design with summer courses at Harvard. She joined the faculty at UC Berkeley in 1914 and headed the department of Decorative Art & Design for more than 26 years. During that time she wrote articles on design and interior decoration which appeared in educational journals and magazines. Her home in Berkeley was of her own design and won an award in 1929. Her track is lost after 1949.
