Michael Pukac was born and raised on the Gulf Coast of Alabama. He spent his formative years in the woods and in the water. These elements inspire his work. He graduated Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida in 2003 with a Bachelor’s of Fine Art and has been traveling and producing art since then.

Artist Statement:

"My paintings are about procreation and creation. The
creative process being art's child. The story of the process contains
characters with their own attributes, designs, and patterns. The
paintings discuss the poetry of the relationships between these
attributes. Three of the major elements used equal a balance:
Passion, Reason and Harness (these elements are represented by my
iconography -bird, fish, muse).
