| | Born in Pismo Beach, CA on Jan. 15, 1910. Philbrick has been a lifelong resident of California. During the 1930s he lived in Santa Cruz and was active in the local art scene there. A retired postman and self-taught artist, he died in Castro Valley, CA on Dec. 6, 2002. As well as a fine painter, he has also made violins. Exh: Calif.
