| The father of painter Philip Parisen and grandfather of painters Julian and William Parisen, Otto Parisen was a miniature painter, goldsmith and creator of ornamental hardware. He arrived in New York City in the early 1760s and remained active there until 1800 when he moved to New Rochelle, New York.
