| Formerly from California, Peter's primary infuence has always been the early California Impressionst school of landscape painters. He began painting California landscape in early 1970's and took that influence with him when moving to Florida in 1979. He attended the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale in 1982/83 and makes a point of attending different painting workshops every year to continue his ongoing art education. Pettegrew resides in Florida.
